Amsterdam’s Keith Carnal launches new label entitled SEC NDº with four techno cuts this October.
Growing up in Holland, Keith Carnal found techno at an early age and since 2014 he’s gone on to release via imprints such as Afterlife, Arts and Affin, as well as been tapped to remix for labels like Skryptöm, Mary Go Wild, Virgo and Rapid Eye Movement. Deciding to launch his own platform, Keith Carnal says:
‘I started the label because I felt the need to show people what sound I really stand for – presented not only in my own productions but also with tracks I love and play. I named the label SEC NDº (Second Degree) because it’s the next step in my career. After being a DJ/Producer for years, it’s time to expand myself as an artist and become a label owner… so it’s the second degree that I have in the music world.’
‘Passive Aggressive’ kicks things off with a thumping kick drum, filtered bass lines and airy, reverberant arpeggios before ‘Wonderful State’ delivers a combination of modulated synths that unfold alongside hypnotic pad flutters.
Up next, an amalgamation of organic and raw percussion is demonstrated in ‘Rolls’, delivering a fast paced drum focused cut, which leads into ‘Zero Intolerance’ bringing a high-octane finish to the package with a thundering sub, dramatic atmospherics and resonant, high pitched bells.
Keith Carnal’s ‘SEC001’ drops on SEC NDº on 5th October (Vinyl) and 22nd October (Digital)
