Super talented producer Tyler Stone captures the spirit of summer on new release ‘Don’t Count Me Out’ – a fresh, disco-tinged tune that transcends the ages. Featuring honey-smooth vocals from The Gem Fatales, ‘Don’t Count Me Out’ is an irresistibly silky, luxurious and feel-good track that’s primed and ready to bring some serious dancefloor heat.

“I’m having a disco revival,” says Tyler. “When the pandemic came along, the first thing my soul wanted was to write disco – it’s the music of my youth; it’s my comfort food. I needed to make music that lifts the spirits and soothes the soul to make myself feel better and the world around me feel better.”

Slated for release on Miami-based Aventura Records, ‘Don’t Count Me Out’ is as infectious as it is gloriously sublime. It hooks you in right from the off with a funky bass riff that gets your ass shaking as the slinky drums roll on. Splashes of cosmic melody add the gloss, while smart chord work rises and falls through the mix. After some sensuous vocal coos, The Gem Fatales – Washington DC-based sisters Elán Noelle, Reigna Fall and Nile Garner – deliver super smooth and soulful verses that remind us of the good old days of proper songwriting.

“They’re amazingly talented,” says Tyler of The Gem Fatales. “Although they’re sisters, what I love about them is that they’re not carbon copies of each other. Each of their voices is so incredibly unique but they blend in a way that only sisters can. It’s pure magic.”

Indeed, kismet brought Tyler and The Gem Fatales together. After working with Élan’s vocals on a couple of remixes, Tyler presented her with a track for an original song. The disco dots aligned when Aventura label boss Pierre ZonZon pitched The Gem Fatales as the featured artist. Having all three sisters onboard rocketed the project into a divine dimension. Tyler also enlisted super talented Bay Area guitar player Dave Shul to deliver the ultimate rhythmic disco stylings. The end result sparkles like a glitter ball, reflecting dancefloor energy out into the universe.

Portland-based Canadian Tyler is a gifted producer, remixer, DJ, and vocalist. Ask anyone about the key figures in house music over the years and most of the names that come back will be male. Of course, the reality is that numerous women helped shape the scene and Tyler Stone is chief among them.

One of the first breakout female house music producers in the US, Tyler’s distinctive style is rooted in deep house, disco, and downtempo. She’s had countless hits and Billboard chart-toppers on legendary labels like Nervous, Eightball, and Henry Street and has worked with legendary names like Armand Van Helden, Robin S, and Crystal Waters. With a reputation built on infectious grooves and sophisticated programming, Tyler soon became the “go-to” engineer within the San Francisco house music community, for the likes of Miguel Migs and Grammy-nominated Jay-J.

House music kingpin and revered scene champion David Harness turns in two delicious mixes. The acclaimed DJ and producer’s ‘Vocal Mix’ heightens the sexual tension, while his velvety ‘Dub Mix’ is a masterclass in subtle seduction. Describing his reworks as the “perfect complement” to her original, Tyler says: “David brings an undeniable dancefloor vibe that’s super smooth and bumpin’.”

As welcome as a breezy kiss on a blazing hot day, Tyler Stone’s ‘Don’t Count Me Out’ featuring The Gem Fatales is the perfect summer jam.
